Abstract
This practical workshop introduces participants to the advantages of using interactive online activities in their teaching. In particular, participants are shown how Moodle can be used to facilitate active learning by utilizing some of the available features in Moodle. Participants also gain first hand experience in using some of these features by participating as 'students' in both a synchronous chat and a discussion forum. In addition, participants complete an 'assignment' and submit it to the 'tutor' via Moodle. 'Students' also see how feedback can be given to them by the 'tutor' via Moodel.
