Abstract
This one day workshop builds on past workshops for New Zealand Institute of Medical laboratory Scientists (NZIMLS) examiners and moderators who set, mark and moderate final written examinations for laboratory technicians. Participants are introduced to concepts and jargon associated with examinations and the examination process and actively engage in critiquing past examination papers and designing real examination questions. Experienced examiners and moderators are invited to exchange ideas and advice with novices. Changes to the examination format and marking expectations are also discussed with participants.
