Abstract

Commonly organisations have been failing with a lack of success due to management's poor leadership style affecting the organisations culture, expecially with the increase in firms collapsing throughout the current recession. Literature has found that the success of organisations depends on leadership. This study uses two reliable surveys to identify the link between an organisations leadership style and the culture. The study indicates that organisations have one dominant leadership tyle and culture. The results show that the local accounting firm studied has a cominant Democratic leadership style and a culture of Hierarchy followed closely by Market culture. Culture and leadership relationships are also identified.
