Abstract
Survey Hamilton is a collaborative documentary project spearheaded by a group of Wintec’s Media Arts researchers. The project explores the sweet wallpaper of everyday life in Hamilton City, and throws light on factors that are shaping the city. Over the next few years Survey Hamilton will create an archive of contemporary photographs, moving image, sound recordings and design media. This exhibition highlights some preliminary photographic work and a proto-type website portal for the project. Research team: Joe Citizen, David Cook, Mark Liu, Simon Nicholls, Mark Purdom, Stefanie Young. Supported by Wintec research funding. David Cook's contribution is a series of five photographic prints from an Arbor Day portrait series.
