Abstract

This exhibition is a National Award for free-standing or wall sculpture up to 800mm in any dimension. 25 artists were selected from 100 entries. Selected artists included Lonnie Hutchinson, Niki Hastings-McFall, Jim Wheeler, Oliver Stretton-Pow,AD Schierning & Jenny Laycock, Karin Strachan and Gareth Williams. Works were selected and judged by Dr Peter Shand, Senior Lecturer, Elam School of Fine Arts, Auckland University. This exhibition was shown concurrently with the Waiheke Island “Sculpture on the Gulf 2011” Exhibition.
