Abstract or Summary

Letter to the Mayor was a workshop conceived of for Young at Art Day which coincided with Wellington City Art Gallery's Prospect 2007 exhibition for which I was an exhibiting artist. Young at Art day was held in Civic square immediately in front of the Gallery. I was invited to create a day long workshop for this event using my work Everything Thought and Remembered as a point of connection. For the workshop I created a 'protest' station encouraging children to voice their issues and concerns with Wellington City, participants could make protest badges, write letters to the mayor and fill in questionnaires about the current civic issues.
