Abstract

An interactive immersive installation that was built and exhibited at the Creative Waikato building, as part of Hamilton's Fringe Festival (2013)
This work aimed to explore several key aspects of immersive interactivity: To what extent can the participant's experiences be influenced by a fully immersive environment? Can participants already 'know' aspects of the interaction, and can some of these aspects be taught through the interaction in a game-like way? Can randomnity be used to give a tree-like decision structure the appearance of individual agency?
