Abstract

Acclaimed British playwright Caryl Churchill's 2009 play is a polemic about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that was heightened internationally by the December 2008 invasion of Gaza by the Israeli defence forces killing some 1500 people including 300 children.
This short play was made available for free to anyone who wished to perform the work, if they did not charge and asked for donations for Medical Aid for Palestinians. We decided to present this performance during this year's Fringe Festival, October 2013.
As part of the play we also screened a longer version of the documentary film: Watani Habibi, my beloved homeland by Janice Abo Ganis and John Mandelberg.
