Abstract or Summary

30 responses to our built environment: public spaces, areas of the commons and urban planning & development 30 contributors were invited to respond to a piece of source content supplied by the editor that connects to themes around public goods and services including areas of the commons, waterways, civic infrastructure and social services. While contributions vary it is intended that Public Good act as a commentary and critique of the design, delivery and governance of areas of the commons and public goods and services. The publication covers specific issues relevant to New Zealand today, including proposed unitary plans, central and local government legislation and state ownership of land and assets. It also addresses wider, more generalised content sourced from New Zealand and internationally on subjects including economics, social wellbeing and human rights.
