Abstract
Since the advent of the millennium South African women have gained access to employment and managerial positions in organisations, leading to the advancement of women as an economic power. Despite these advancements, women are still very much under represented in senior financial positions. South African women still find it difficult to rise to the top echelons of economically powerful corporations. This study investigates under representation of females in senior financial positions in South Africa's top 25 listed companies.
