Abstract

Arohanui Film Festival will showcase new entertaining, original and adventurous films from around the world on the big screen at Future Te Aroha, a former factory that has been converted to a multi purpose non-profit facility for community and cultural use. Film enthusiasts will gather for a weekend of discussions and introductions, while watching films classified specifically for the event. Founded by prolific artist and teacher Lynne Renwick, who received the 2009 Queens Service Medal (QSM) for her service to theatre and youth in South Auckland.
The event will include Q&A sessions with industry professionals as well as DIY filmmakers who are making things on their own.
