Abstract or Summary

This report provides background on interrater reliability coefficients obtained for the Classroom Observation Snapshot (Revised) used as an observation tool on the Pacific Early Age Readiness and Learning (PEARL) program, initiated and supported by the Global Partnership in Education and the World Bank. We report on three days of paired coach-monitor comparisons, which yielded Gwet coefficients in the range 0.7 to 0.9. The findings showed that the COS-R could be used as a data-collection tool with confidence.
