Abstract or Summary

Koea te urutapu, te ao turoa (Untouched beauty, the world of light) an audio-visual installation in two parts Jeremy Mayall, Horomona Horo and Ben Woollen. This work explores ideas of a welcome loneliness that can occur when spending time in largely untouched natural environments. There is an interesting contrast that occurs where the space feels both expansive and intimate at the same time. The two parts are separate but interconnected - both exploring similar ideas in different ways. Looking at the sense of space (both in terms of physical space and time-space) that we as humans take on, and how we should be aware of what we do with our time here. Sit and immerse yourself in the visual and sound as they work together to explore the landscape.
