Abstract or Summary

Mark Dawson-Smith describes an essential tool to use when preparing listening assessments. Earlier this year (around Valentine’s Day, I think) I received a Facebook post from Tineke Brunfaut at Lancaster University advising special deals on Palgrave eBooks, one of which was Rita Green’s (2017) new book on designing listening tests, Designing Listening Tests: A Practical Approach. Already a fan of the author (her book Statistical Analyses for Language Testers is a great read for anyone with an interest in that area), I followed the link to Routledge’s website and within a couple of minutes the book was downloaded.
