Abstract or Summary
Modern engineering education is placing emphasis on the need for students to be work ready when they graduate. Graduates must have soft skills in addition to the necessary technical skills to function in the workplace. Problems solved during the learning process should be based on practical real-world scenarios. Hence, this paper details some assessment activities that provide a simulated work-integrated learning experience for polytechnic engineering students. The assessment activities are projects in engineering courses that focus on mechatronics and electronics.
