Abstract

Survey Hamilton was a multimedia exhibition about the contemporary life of Hamilton city by researchers from Wintec, Massey University and the University of Canterbury.
Researchers ask what new documentary practice is and how can it be applied here in Hamilton, New Zealand? The exhibition featured a range of media technologies that include photography, interactive 360° video, gaming, and sonic art. The show examines Hamilton’s environmental attributes, its economy and people’s sense of home.
