This workshop will bring participants up to date with the relationship between contemporary interpretations of the Treaty, our profession’s Code of Ethics, and current issues in psychological practice. By teasing out implications of the Treaty articles and commonly cited principles, participants will feel clearer about their profession’s position in current debates, and confident about their commitments and limits in relation to the needs and aspirations of tangata whenua. Participants will be invited to consider a current query in their workplace, and to work with others to apply new understandings in these practice situations.
