Abstract
The artist was invited by the Waikato Museum, Hamilton, N.Z., to formulate a show for the Vitrine space, situated in the entrance foyer of the Waikato Museum.
Artist Statement:
These works explore structures and functions of civic architecture. Each structure performs a civic function, whether it be for leisure, commercial, supply or security purposes. Though not monuments in themselves, they can also operate as civic landmarks, or as signifiers of civic identity.
