In 2007 project collaborator Janice Abo Ganis and I were invited by Te Wananga o Aotearoa to screen our documentary film, "WATANI HABIBI:My Beloved Homeland" at the conference as it was appropriate to the conference theme: Knowledge in form.
We then collaborated in an open ended discussion about the process of developing the project in collaboration with Palestinian musicians and the timely importance of producing this introductory work to a fairly fallow area of Western research and dissemination of information.
