From the 'Survey Hamilton' collaborative documentary project.
Commentary by Stephanie Chalmers, exhibition curator, published in the exhibition cataglogue:
"Look directly into the camera and imagine the forest that will be here in fifty years." David Cook gave these instructions to Arbor Day volunteers as they took part in planting 30,000 native trees and shrubs at Waiwhakareke on the western edge of Hamilton. The expressions captured may be of hope, concern, or even pride.
