Abstract
Hamilton’s ring road is almost complete. When Wairere Drive reaches Cobham Drive, the city will have a 24 kilometre circuit that not only helps the flow of traffic, but also connects the present to the past. More than six decades in the making, the story of Hamilton's ring road includes two major bridge openings, a political stoush that made the front page of the Waikato Times, the preservation of an historic green belt, and award-winning use of social media to engage with the public. This multimedia exhibition tells the story so far.
