Abstract
Café industry is one of the major industry that contributes to the economy of New Zealand. Because of the tempestuous flow of tourists in the country, the organisations has to go through several hurdles to run their business firmly and successfully. The research aims to transverse the supply chain management practices at café industry and the challenges the organisations face while implementing the processes involved in supply chain management. To find the relevant information regarding the supply chain management at the organisations a survey is conducted with the employees and other members that are linked to the supply chain of an organisation. In the survey the focus was to know about the processes that are involved, factors that influence the cost and demand in supply chain and the challenges in the productivity that the organisation come across while managing. In the research the types of suppliers are researched and the technology used by the suppliers. It is also been surveyed if the methods used by the suppliers are ideal for the organisation or not.
