Abstract
The piece is in three movements and is a sonic reflection on the natural world of New Zealand/ Aotearoa in winter.
"Rich with the sound of birds and flowing water, the stark cold of winter can at times both amplify and subdue the sounds around us. The electronic part consists of synthetic sound, field recordings made around the Otago peninsula, and recordings of taonga puoro played by Alistair Fraser," says Mayall.
Performed in Dunedin by Feby Idrus
