In March 2011, thirty eight students and seventeen staff from the School of Business and Information Technology participated in an on-line survey using Survey Monkey.

The student survey focused on issues such as coping with travelling to another part of the world to study and live, adjustments to different cultures, languages and academic practices, the learning environment, group work, assessment and barriers to achievement. Staff were surveyed for their perspective on meeting the needs of Indian students, learning influences and challenges.

This poster provides an overview of the survey results with both quantitiative and qualitative data. An analysis of the results has been completed and recommendations made for initiatives to improve the learning experiences of Indian students.
