Abstract
The Literature Review is part of my thesis: to survey the literature concerning the place of open source software in education: specifically High School use of open source software.
A workshop of two halves. The first half of the workshop will present the results of a literature review into how open source software is used by schools in New Zealand and worldwide.
The second half will involve workshop participants using open source software portable applications running from a USB stick on the computer in the computer suite. A chance to learn how to load portable applications and use the different portable apps available.
